Summary:

Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring that all raw products meet the highest quality standards and are efficiently produced. With a focus on timely delivery to the packaging team. The Raw Processing Supervisor also oversees and manages a team of dedicated raw processing crew members. With a keen eye for the details and commitment to excellence, this supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the success of the department and facility.

The ideal candidate must have experience leading processing/production teams, be familiar with GMP'S (Good Manufacturing Practices), SQF (Safe Quality Food) adherence and audits, USDA experience, leading and managing a processing crew to effectively follow a schedule converting raw materials into finished goods as efficiently as possible while obtaining daily production goals.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, coach, motivate, and raw processing team with a strong emphasis on safety & food safety goals, continual improvement, performance management, skill development, and fostering positive relationships with other departments and management team.
  • Effective use analytics to review performance, identify and deliver on opportunities.
  • Coordinate all raw ingredient processing, including cutting, grinding, blending, stuffing and curing.
  • Assist in developing weekly production schedules, monitor daily priorities, and track team tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain, properly label, and monitor inventory, work with Production Analyst to make necessary adjustments, and communicate concerns to the Production Manager.
  • Work with Production and Maintenance Manager to implement a preventative maintenance calendar to ensure when available, equipment is properly serviced and maintained.
  • Attend daily shift meetings (huddles) and weekly production meetings to ensure all departments are briefed on schedule adherence and raw processing performance.
  • Schedule and manage production crews within targeted budgets to meet operational demands and deadlines.
  • Supervise and develop team skills and efficiency to minimize turnover and build a strong team.
  • Train employees on proper technique, SOP's and monthly safety training.
  • Monitor and report team performance against production goals.
  • Work collaboratively with other managers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven track record of building and leading successful teams to deliver targeted results.
  • Experience in managing and developing employees.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office and proficiency with technology.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
