With a state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center in Marina del Rey scheduled to open in June 2023 and a full-service clinic in Marina del Rey, DISC has set a new standard for high-acuity, minimally invasive spine surgery and orthopedic sports medicine surgery in an outpatient setting, both safely and on a cost-effective basis
DISC is seeking a motivated , conscious individuals to join our Team.
Job Description:Competently operates imaging equipment while performing procedures in a safe and optimal manner. Review medical record for patient history and pertinent clinical information. Transfer patient to imaging table , explain procedure and and position according to protocol.
Review studies for overall quality. Operate imaging equipment and use to produce , process and optimize clinical data. Archive images onto appropriate media for PACS.
Perform quality control procedures at the designated intervals on imaging and ancillary equipment to ensure compliance with all applicable standards of care.
Maintain professional registry as mandated by all applicable regulations, in order to remain compliant with Surgery Center certifications, State and Federal inspections.
Knowledge of radiation equipment , including the maintenance of care.
Maintains documentation, reports and files according to facility policy and guidelines.
Great communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, colleagues and co-workers to efficiently complete daily tasks.
Performs all other duties as assigned by the Manager.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :Graduate of an approved allied health program specific to the modality employed. Professional registry for modality is required when mandated by Federal, State or Surgical Center certifications. ( CRT, ARRT, Fluoroscopy) otherwise registry eligible. Basic Life Support ( BLS) is required.
Position Reports to Clinical Leader
Degree of Supervision Provided to Position: Medium, must be self-directed and works under direction of the Clinical Leader
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Good visual acuity, accurate color vision. Ability to lift/transfer patients in excess of 100 pounds, which may require pushing, pulling and essentially utilizing a full range of body movement. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl. Ability to reach, grasp, use fine finger movement and feel fine sensation to discern temperature, texture, size and shape. Ability to speak and hear.
