Quality Technician
Shelbyville, KY
Pay: $20.33 plus ($0.75 shift differential)
Shift: 3rd Shift- 11:00 pm- 7:30 am
While reporting to the Manager, as the Quality Technician, you will be responsible for collaborating and contributing to the production environment within our manufacturing operations.
What you will be doing:

  • The safety and health of employees take precedence over all duties of this job.
  • Ensure all customer feedbacks are completed on-time, root cause is identified and implemented.
  • Assist in analyzing all customer feedbacks for trends and continuous improvement and assist in process capability studies as deemed necessary, train plant personnel in GIQ quality system, maintaining customer property and maintaining process for document control.
  • Involved in corrective action and preventive action process.
  • Document COA’s, COC’s as required.
  • Participates on customer visits.
  • Defines quality concepts and quality processes, including statistical basics, etc.; applies quality tools; interprets information and data; applies team concepts.
  • Where applicable, support the food safety team to organize its work, ensure relevant training and education of the food safety team members, ensure the food safety management system is established, implemented, maintained and updated, and report to the organization's top management on the effectiveness and suitability of the food safety management system
  • Must know which measurement and test equipment (M&TE) tools are appropriate for various tasks and how to assess tool accuracy and precision; understands the concept of standards traceability for M&TE.
  • Understands and applies basic inspection and testing techniques, including various types of sampling plans and various quality audit types and their components, tools, and techniques.
  • Must be able to control nonconforming material and conduct required off-line testing for products.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
