- Responsible for implementing manufacturing strategies to deliver high quality products and to reduce the cost of manufacturing.
- Develop and support procurement, manufacturing and distribution strategies to meet targets; evaluate data and trends, and develop action plans to positively drive quality improvements, service improvements, and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensure robust corrective actions are implemented, and contribute to overall supplier quality improvement.
- Develop and implement methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure the products conform to specifications and function as designed.
- Analyze and enhance warranty reports, internal quality reports, and defective products to determine trends and drive robust corrective actions.
- Responsible for all aspects of products and processes, related to the quality of manufacturing operations.
- Provide coaching to production personnel on quality system requirements, perform investigations on issues affecting quality, and respond quickly to customer quality complaints to improve the customer experience.
- Support and drive process and product improvements through the Flexsteel Product Change Management process.
- Collaborate with suppliers and drive the continuous improvement of Flexsteel’s suppliers. Enhances supplier performance through timely communication of key performance metrics that support the strategic business objectives.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to improve quality, manufacturing efficiency and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate and integrate activities with other Quality Managers, Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Production Managers, Procurement Managers and Suppliers.
