Projects Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team. Projects Inc. is a manufacturer of complex small machined components for the Aerospace and Power Systems industries and has been in business for over fifty years. The qualified candidate will report directly to the Quality Manager and is responsible for performing inspection on machined and assembled parts to ensure that the final product meets all customer drawings, specifications, and quality requirements prior to being shipped. This will include First piece, In-process, and Final Inspection.

Signing Bonus $1,000

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements.
  • Inspect for proper identity and dimensions using measuring devices. Visually inspect for defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits.
  • Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models / designs, drawings, and procedures.
  • Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings.
  • Able to achieve United Technologies Corporation (UTC) MCL/LCS Certifications (CLCSR)
  • Thorough knowledge of GD&T
  • Ability to read and understand customer requirements, specifications, and purchase orders.
  • Able to review certifications for materials and sub-contractor certifications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Must be familiar with inspection tools and gaging such as micrometers, calipers, and specialized gaging.
  • Ability to follow designated Quality Plans as defined by the Company/Customer.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in MCL/LCS requirements and duties a strong plus.
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years prior work experience in Quality Control Inspection or shop-related work; preferably in Aerospace Manufacturing.
  • Possess effective oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements is a plus.
  • Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Must be able to move parts up to 40lbs.
  • Must have a high sense of urgency and the ability to meet schedule requirements in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
