GDP/GMP Quality Assurance Supervisor (Rieti area)

This role is in the UPS Healthcare Italy division which operates in the pharmaceutical logistics and distribution market, shipping from Formello (Rome) and Liscate (Milano).

As Healthcare Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor you will lead the Quality department in our state-of-the-art Healthcare distribution center. Can you prove you’re capable of being responsible for task monitoring and performance management of a team in the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 and 13485 standards, and in compliance with the EU GMP and EU GDP Guidelines?

We’re offering a permanent contract, great career opportunities and international projects to a skilled worker who wants to become the new QA Supervisor for UPS Healthcare facility in Formello (Rome) and the coming 2023 site in Rieti province, with a good level of autonomy and continuous improvement, that will manage, under QA Manager guidelines, part of a team involved in issues like compliance, licenses, non-conformances investigations and audit.

You will also act as a back-up or the GDP Responsible Person in Rome.

What you’ll do

  • Communicate quality policy and objectives and ensures these are implemented and maintained on local level;
  • Develop operating procedures, train QA Team and internal clients on operating procedures and regulatory topics;
  • Assess and maintain the quality documents in alignment with EU GDP/GMP and ISO 9001/ISO 13485 requirements. This position participates in internal/ client/ supplier and agency audits and participates in various projects such as implementation of a new client or system;
  • Provide support to ensure compliance with local and regional legal requirements and regulatory authorities;
  • Making recommendations to the Responsible Person (RP)/ Qualified Person (QP), QA Manager and the EU QA/RA Director regarding resources required to support the QMS and the commitment made towards our clients;
  • Making decisions on the final disposition of finished products, returned, rejected, recalled or falsified products;
  • Maintain knowledge of healthcare quality regulation and assess the risks associated with storage and transportation of healthcare products by addressing these to higher management.;
  • Performing direct reports responsibilities (risk assessment, task delegation, performance evaluation, skills development, constructive feedback, formal performance review, formal career development)

What you’ll need

  • We’re flexible, but ideally you will have at least a Bachelor/Master degree in Farmacy, Chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry and technology (CTF).
  • Knowledge of EU GMP/GDP guidelines is preferred. You need a minimum of 3 years’ experience in companies such as manufacturers, distributors in pharmaceutical products or medical device.
  • Excellent English communication skills to motivate and support internal/external customers is needed.
  • You are goal oriented, flexible and have solid people management skills;
  • As a Supervisor you’re able to prioritize decisions which may have a significant risk for the company and recommend training opportunities.
  • Flexible in working hours. Location Formello and Passo Corese
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of electronic Quality Management System and/or Warehouse Management System (WMS, GWS etc.) is an advantage.
