Quality Assurance Engineer SQE (Hybrid Oldsmar, FL)

We are looking for Quality Assurance professional for our client, a leading global security and aerospace company. This role will be responsible for basic quality services including supplier evaluation, verification of special processes, part acceptance planning, defect analysis, timely root cause, and corrective action implementation for affected products.

This contract position is long-term with funding approved till 4/17/2024, extensions likely, 40-hour-per-week role. (4-day 10-hour shifts per week) This is a Hybrid role working 50% remotely and 50% onsite supporting our client's Oldsmar Florida facility.

This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Responsibilities:

Perform Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) related duties in support of the Supplier Quality Assurance organization Support Receiving Inspection and Production Operations with engineering guidance related to inspection, product compliance, specification interpretation and defect disposition SQE activities include a review of program contractual and drawing requirements and flow down of requirements on purchase orders and providing support to Procurement for supplier quality activities on commodity and/or subcontract procurements. Make recommendations on potential supplier usage based on cost, an inspection of facilities, risk assessments, and historical performance Provide reporting on hardware and supply chain quality metrics utilized to manage SQA and supplier performance.

Requirements:

4+ years of experience with Quality Assurance in a product engineering and manufacturing process Previous experience and knowledge of the following:
Knowledge of Supplier Quality and/or Quality Engineering Manufacturing processes, materials, and/or component engineering experience Experience with AS9100, ISO9001:2000, and first article inspections Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements Non-conformance and failure analysis disposition experience Working in P2P, SAP, Solumina and EPD Data analysis experience or exposure to advanced data analytics software/systems and/or ability to write macros/code (Tableau, Alteryx, VBA, etc.)
Bachelor's degree

Compensation: $30/hr - $45/hr
