In this role the Quality Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance team by performing administrative tasks as well as specification development and testing report reviews while working with buying teams and suppliers. The ideal candidate will be familiar with food manufacturing and its processes as well as quality control and/or quality assurance. Candidates should have an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Data Science/Analytics, Business and educational background in Food Science or related field, and preferably professional experience in manufacturing, retail or food science. The objective of this role is to support the growth of ALDI by providing organizational tools, structure and support to the Quality Assurance team and programs.

Starting Wage: $27.75 per hour

Work Location: Batavia, IL
This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  Assists in investigating product and supplier compliance.
• Acts as a liaison between stakeholders and Quality Assurance.
• Assists in the development and maintenance of Quality Assurance systems and projects.
• Assists the team in preparation of reports, presentations, and Quality Assurance materials.
• Assists in the preparation of technical advice for the Buying department as needed.
• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader.
• Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.
• Assists Quality Assurance team with Product Specification development and review of 3rd party laboratory testing reports
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  Associate Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Data Science/Analytics, Business, Math, or a related field required.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.

  Work is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform duties.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
