General Responsibility

The Quality Assurance Coordinator will lead, plan, coordinate and participate as required in all Quality related activities within the Facility to evaluate the level of compliance with applicable systems, policies, procedures, and standards. This individual will maintain an effective and compliant quality operating system for the facility. In addition, the associate will propose recommendations for system improvements to the QMS & EMS, communicate the status of proposed process improvements to facility management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead Internal Auditor – Maintaining Audit Schedule, assigning audits and tracking, coordinator review of audits, provide audit report and communicate all necessary steps. Support Quality Manager with preparing for IATF16949 and ISO 14001 Audits.
  • Work closely with PPAP coordinator on control plans and define/setup Inspection in Quality System
  • Start White Book for new parts and track them
  • Create Work Instructions, Visual Aids, Quality Alerts and help to maintain them
  • Document Control Coordinator – which entails Blueprint Management, maintaining the Master List, assigning new document numbers, and controlling documents
  • Gage Tracker – add new equipment, deactivate old/broken equipment
  • Update Monthly Quality Metrics
  • Corrective Action Coordinator – Create and Maintain Corrective and Preventive actions
  • Track and Manage Early Production Containment activities including Material Review Board actions

Education and Experience

  • High level organizational and communication skills
  • Computer proficiency – strong Excel, Visio, Power Point, Outlook and DelmiaWorks (IQMS) skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to read prints
  • Desire to succeed in a culture of teamwork and accountability
  • Knowledge of measurement equipment such as calipers
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, PFMEA and LPA’s
  • Experience in IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 14001:2015

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to occasionally lift over 50 pounds
  • Excellent depth perception, focus, and general vision

Work Environment

  • Ability to safely work around moving mechanical parts
  • Ability to work in extreme heat
  • Moderate to heavy noise levels

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,440.00 - $42,000.00 per year
