Reporting to the Senior Director, Project Management and QA, you will work with a team of 3 at The Cheesecake Factory support center in Calabasas Hills, CA. As the QA Specialist, you will play an integral part in supporting our Information Technology department by testing system changes before they are officially implemented, for a global $3.3 billion public company with over 300 full-service restaurants and more than 47,500 total staff members.

Responsibilities
Here’s more of what you’ll get to do:
- Collaborate with a small team of testers (from IT and the business arenas) on a variety of projects.
- Review the business and technical requirements of the system or changes being developed and create test scripts to plan the testing that you will be doing.
- Using the test scripts, test the system and record the results. Once fixed, test the system again to ensure that the fix was applied correctly.
- Assisting in troubleshooting an issue by testing different scenarios.
- Support in small business analysis efforts as needed (such as identifying the impact of making one decision over another).
Qualifications
What we require:
- Has demonstrated a high level of attention to detail
- A good understanding of technology and testing
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good writing and communication skills
- Possess an investigative mindset
- Highly organized
- Able to keep a fresh mindset when dealing with repetitive duties
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
What we prefer:
- Sound understanding of Software QA
- Experience working within Jira
- Familiarity with SQL
- Knowledge of automated testing tools
- Experience working in a restaurant
- College Degree
