As a Project Leader, you will be a trusted advisor working with leaders across the area and the firm. This role is an opportunity to lead groups to define and deliver business outcomes (get results through others, delegation, provide coaching and feedback) and an opportunity to manage up and influence other leaders. It requires experience with high-risk, complex business projects, and requires a high degree of strategic thinking, planning, organizing, driving for results, communication, and adapting to change.

What You'll Do:
  • Establish and maintain effective communications and relationships across multiple areas, divisions, outside vendors and project leaders/teams who are working on sub-projects within the project. Understanding impact, leading with empathy, and articulating the "why" are critical to the success of this role.
  • This role involves being comfortable with rolling up sleeves and handling administrative tasks and tactical pieces of analyzing, synthesizing, validating, and then packaging to business leaders for decision making (ex. aggregation of product portfolios status reporting, financials, resourcing, roadmaps, as well as management of SharePoints and governance presentations)
  • Scheduling and facilitating meetings requiring effective engagement strategies, willingness to pivot and adjust based on the needs of the audience, identifying the most critical needs, ensuring and following up on actions, communicate progress, and provide thought leadership in problem solving by developing and influencing solutions to meet business goals.
  • At times, may be asked to flex as a utility player and fill in for Product Ops Managers, which involves handling resourcing, financials, invoicing, reporting, intake, and stakeholder or communication needs for specified digital product(s).
  • Support Digital Portfolio Operations as a function in regards to helping with Annual Financial Planning, coordinating continuous education and training for the area, participating in internal audits, and anything else that may be related to running the function.
  • Facilitate intake process, prioritization and roadmap management when it comes to managing the Aha tool
  • Ensuring project schedule, scope and quality objectives are met by monitoring, using metrics and controls to measure progress, identifying and mitigating risks, taking corrective action and escalating issues when necessary. Assess trade-offs to scope using cost / benefit analysis.
  • Support the development of a business case for business leaders while demonstrating thought leadership, innovative tendencies, and an ability to drive for results, including process improvement and capability building initiatives for the area and Digital.
  • Partner with business leaders and team to structure the questions to address, organize the work, manage resources, oversee and/or conduct analysis, synthesize findings, and develop recommendations.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Hiring Minimum: $78795
Hiring Maximum: $134163

Skills/Requirements

What Experience You'll Need:
  • 3+ years of project management experience leading projects with a high level of complexity/integration that includes other projects and project leaders.
  • Strong strategic project management experience at the enterprise level
  • 3+ years of financial services industry or position-related experience
  • 3 years of business management or strategy consulting experience with a consulting firm and/or corporate strategy area
  • A bachelor's and/or applicable graduate degree preferred
  • Effectively analyze and resolve complex problems while working cross-functionally with other areas across the firm.
  • Make and communicate decisions and/or recommendations with consideration for risks and long-term impacts. Some decisions may be in gray areas where little or no guidance is available.
  • Effectively have span of influence in managing up, resolving conflict across multiple groups, and impacting processes and approaches used across the area and the firm.
  • Working understanding of the Lean-Agile mindset, using various methodologies, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum, Kanban and SAFe, to deliver solutions as a minimum viable product
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills; effectively communicates with project team, other project leaders, multiple areas, divisions and outside vendors. Incorporates effective listening and collaboration skills.
  • Superior organization and coordination skills.
  • Ability to independently identify, prioritize, monitor, communicate, and/or resolve elements that can impact a product
  • Experience leading idea cost / benefit reviews.

What Could Set You Apart:
  • MBA or graduate degree a plus.
  • Project management certification (PMP) or Agile Certification (scrum) a plus.
  • Experience in planning for execution in Agile and Agile Transformations preferred.
  • Superior presentation skills preferred
