WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Engineering leader for a specific Tractor development project under the guide of the Range Chief Engineer. He/She shares with the Chief Engineer the responsibility for the execution of overall design engineering requirements in order to meet and exceed platform goals relating to product design, cost and release timing.
Manages the workload of his/her assigned Team.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define the project development plan, detailing all the contents and related activities at each stage of development:
- Product Specifications
- Program Timing
- Budget
- Shopping list
- Project Micro-planning
- Validation Plans (Virtual & Physical)
- Design Reviews & DFMEA
- Leads, supervises and reviews the work of project and design engineers to ensure the efficient and timely completion of specific project milestones within required budgetary guidelines sharing the approach with his/her Line Mng.
- Manages outsourced engineering resources.
- Defines course of action regarding assigned project plan and schedule consistent with project and product line objectives shared with his/her Line Mng
- Works with internal Project Engineers and Components product Lines, manufacturing Quality, SQE representatives to ensure available human resources and skill sets are allocated to achieve plan goals shared with his/her Line Mng.
YOUR KEY COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mechanical Engineering degree with emphasis in automotive
- Minimum 5 years of experience in vehicle/mechanical design environment
- Task Management skills together with management and motivation of resources assigned
- Professional Engineer is preferred
- Extensive product design and development experience
- Previous experience managing a team
- Proficiency in design analysis
- Significant expertise in Tractors
- An extensive amount of independent thinking is required
OTHER INFORMATION:
- Eligibility to work in the main European engineering sites
- Full clean Driving Licence
- Ability to travel around the territory and availability to occasional travels with some over-night stays
- Languages: fluent in English and Italian preferred
- Ability to report project status to direct manager and occasionally to senior management, pinpointing key risks and highlighting mitigation actions in place.
- Ability to negotiate within engineering the technical solution, facilitatation of idea generation and selection. Capability to share positive/negative feedbacks about technical outcome
- An independent thinking is required. Able to work under minimal supervision and to manage multiple projects
