Your Opportunity

Your role will be to provide fully qualified Planning, Design, and Construction Management support to our New England Transportation team. We are looking for a resourceful, organized, and committed individual with experience working on horizontal and vertical construction projects of varying scale and complexity. You will play in integral part in delivering quality submissions and tracking overall project performance. This role requires being an integrated member of project teams and interfacing with internal staff such as project managers and design teams, and external clients and consultants. This role will be based in our Burlington office with remote flexibility. Our Burlington office at Blue Sky Center offers unrivaled amenities including an on-site fitness center, walking paths, secure bicycle storage, indoor and outdoor courts and games, golf simulator, and EV charging stations. Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in management of design and construction projects.
  • Assisting Project Managers with compliance of Stantec and ISO standards for Project Management, including participation in audits.
  • Overseeing and assisting with coordination of document control requirements (quality reviews, specifications, RFI’s, submittals, shop drawings, revision control).
  • Understanding, optimizing, and implementing Project Controls processes and system(s) for various project functions.
  • Preparing documents and maintaining file management of project-related information including correspondence, proposals, reports, schedules, minutes, spreadsheets, presentations, database lists, specifications, and contracts
  • Attending meetings, preparing meeting minutes including the coordination and tracking of action items and deliverables
  • Creating and maintaining project plans, schedules and deliverables
  • Performing other key responsibilities of a similar nature and level as assigned

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Knowledge and skills in design and construction project management
  • A task-oriented team player, who can grasp new concepts quickly, support simultaneous tasks, and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in office and remote environments
  • Positive attitude with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including attention to detail.
  • Willing to take initiative and ownership of areas of responsibility to meet project requirements.
  • Must be organized and organize workflow in a proactive manner.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to create high quality deliverables.
  • Proficiency in project monitoring and controls software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
  • Experience with Lean Design and Construction is a plus.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or Construction Management, Technical degree or certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years professional experience from internships, co-ops or current position. More experienced individuals are encouraged to apply as the responsibilities of the position are flexible based on experience level.

Typical office environment with occasional travel for site visits and field monitoring, and meeting attendance at agencies or clients. Must have valid driver’s license.
