Job Duties/Scope Of Work
Job Summary:
The Business Process and Compliance (BPC) department is proactively developing business analytics and continuous monitoring capabilities to support a risk-based data analytics program. Additional support is needed to continue establishing and maintaining an effective business compliance program, to prevent and detect organizational violations of policy and procedures and foster a culture of compliance through data analytics, investigations and audits, as well as outreach. Based on the data, the staff would continue to enhance/refine the background data analytic capabilities of the program, while also working with management to document anomalies, provide guidance clarifications, or initiate corrective actions.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Develop data collection/mining methodology for data analytics.
  • Use data to create models that ensure overall business compliance, depict trends so that the data can be used for finding patterns.
  • Develop and maintain dataflows, review large amounts of datasets, identify, and evaluate instances where control objectives require additional evaluation.
  • Prepare detailed documentation supporting conclusion and provide to management for review/analysis.
  • Assist management, with data analytics, to establish the company's business goals and information needs so that these can be prioritized.
  • Create new processes and ways to improve on how information is gathered and used.
  • Communicate complex information in an easy-to-follow way that people with limited data knowledge can comprehend.
  • Ensure appropriate records documenting audits/investigations as well as conclusions are generated and maintained according to the standards.
  • Routinely provide status on assigned work scope, communicate potential issues, and perform peer reviews. Providing training/monitorship on Power BI data analytics issues to peers.
  • Provide such other support related to the Business Process Compliance and Prime Contract Administration as requested.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Business, Engineering, or Science) plus 8 years of related experience - OR - an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of experience utilizing Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent application for data analytics and reports.
  • Ability to read/use Structured Query Language and/or Data Analysis Expressions for data analytics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing, verbally, and interface effectively with all levels of management.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and solid quantitative and analytical skills are required.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.

Desired Qualifications
- Data mining experience with Procurement Credit Card System, SOS, BMS, Asset suite, IDMS, TIS.
  • Prior auditing experience utilizing data analytics.
  • Prior programmer experience of coding, building dataflows and developing data analytics and reports.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Familiarity of the Hanford site mission.

Compensation & Benefits
Grade 18: $101,525 - $128,075
Grade 19: $111,588 - $140,663
Grade 20: $122,813 - $154,838
