Responsibilities:
Manages the operations and interface of each assigned Surgical Episodic Bundled payment vendor. Proactively identifies operational, financial and communication improvement opportunities relating to contract performance. Manages the day-to-day operations and communications of the surgical bundle payers. Build internal mechanisms and strategy to scale bundled payment programs.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Role will require strong problem solving skills with a flexible and creative approach to work assignments.
  • Manages the day to day operations and communications of the surgical bundled payers.
  • Must be open to making continuous changes and improvements in workflows to better accomplish goals.
  • Support Director in all assigned contracts including new bundled services and negotiations.
  • Role will require a strong ability to troubleshoot complicated claim issues related to bundles, hybrid bundles and fee for service claims.
  • Acts as an escalated contact for hospital system departments directly affected by the payer relationship such as Business Office, Patient Access, Medical Records, Decision Support, and QI. Coordinates necessary communication needed for these departments.
  • Requires strong organizational and leadership skills necessary to effectively establish priorities, coordinate workloads, meet deadlines, and ensure effective functioning of the department.
  • Engages with various departments in the organization to drive financial improvement.
  • Maintains a high level of interpersonal skills in order to ensure that effective relationships are developed, maintained and managed in a professional and effective manner with Hospital business office staff, ASC billing staff, professional billing staff, patient registration staff, clinical contacts at each contracted provider and vendor management teams.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Excel to deliver accurate, concise, and actionable analysis.
  • Program Coordinator manages and liaises between vendor referral sources, the Hospital system and department management.
Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
  • Minimum five years of healthcare experience.
  • Strong understanding of Facility and Professional billing
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of computer spreadsheet programs
  • Excellent project management skills
