Overview:
Provide supervision to the fleet team to ensure the safety, quality, and overall performance of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing supervisory support to drivers on daily operations and scheduling.
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring staffing needs.
- Directing and adjusting staffing to support city operational needs. Participate in training, performance feedback, and disciplinary recommendations, as needed.
- Ensure each team member is compliant with company, customers and government regulations and/or standards.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving service issues on shipments delivered via the Marzetti fleet.
- Serve as backup and weekend support to the Fleet Coordinator as needed to include route scheduling.
- Support DOT compliance to include the administration of CSA points, Logs books, and electronic logging to ensure drivers are compliant with company and government regulations.
- Train and implement TMS, TMS Fleet, Prism QUALLCOM, and systems for electronic logs which ensures drivers, and the company are compliant with government regulations.
- Complete required reporting for internal and external customers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
- High school graduate or equivalent. Degree preferred.
- Proficient in PC use within a Windows operating environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software; knowledge or experience with SAP and TMS preferred.
- Solid knowledge in state and federal motor vehicle regulations and licensing.
- Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task.
- Class A CDL license is a plus
- Ability to provide leadership, direction, development, evaluation, coaching and support to drivers
- Maintains good employee, corporate and community relations
- Analytical ability to evaluate transportation operations
- Strong verbal & written communication skills

Office environment with minimal travel.
