Job Overview:

Provide direct support to the extrusion, printing, and slitting shift operation to ensure quality of product while maintaining above average production rates. Develop process improvements that enhance our operations while reducing our waste streams and improve efficiencies. Develop training programs for new and existing print personnel based on FIRST guidelines. Maintain Anagram’s presence as a leader in manufacturing techniques.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Know, follow, and incorporate all SAFETY procedures for the shift.
• Provide direction and support to the printing, slitting and extrusion team to maximize quality and productivity through ongoing training, discipline and the cultivation of new ideas and process improvements.
• Schedule and organize personnel to accommodate anticipated work flow.
• Provide final authorization on all finished print jobs.
• Continually review process and reengineer as needed. Continue to push Anagram to become and/or retain its position of industry leader.
• Ensure compliance of all MPCA, EPA and Hennepin County environmental requirements.

Skills/Qualifications Required:

• 3+ years of printing/extrusion experience.
• Minimum of two years demonstrated supervisory experience. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and direct a team.
• Familiar with wide web/continuous feed printing processes and all related processes. Experience in thermal die cutting and web handling in a related flexible packaging trade helpful. Experience with heat transfer dies is desirable.
• Working knowledge of hazardous waste, first aid, safety and emergency procedures.
• Good problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to take a scientific approach to problem research.
• Solid understanding of films, resins, polymers, and extrusion coating.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Training experience is a plus.
