Hourly Rate: $16.50/hr plus $1/hr when working 2nd Shift

Shift: Monday-Thursday 4pm-2am

Postponement Utility

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:

As a Postponement Utility worker, you would be responsible for performing warehouse functions to pack postponement orders, verifying the correct quantity and quality of the product in a fast-paced environment. You would adhere to shipping requirements and transfer order notes to avoid delay of shipments. You would work diligently to meet work schedules and deadlines. As a Postponement Utility worker, you would prepare, package, label material as required to ensure product will arrive to customer location without damage. You would also perform special projects and complete special requests (20% of your time) and wok with postponement supervisors and leads to plan and complete tasks in shipping, packaging, labeling, and auditing.

THE DETAILS:

• Seek leadership when there are questions, and support leadership by following direction.
• Work with supervisor/lead from previous/next shift to determine priorities and ensure proper work flow.

• Maintain open communication through conversation and both formal and informal documents.
• 5S (continuous) - clean and remove trash to designated areas of work and throughout daily duties.
• Health and Safety (continuous)
  • Identify and report safety hazards.
  • Follow evacuation / emergency procedures.
  • Understand and apply hazard communication standard, lockout/tag-out, machine guarding, blood borne pathogens and confined spaces as applies to position.
  • Understand and use correct gloves, safety glasses, steel toe shoes and hearing protection when required.
  • Follow proper bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling techniques.
  • Adhere to motorized equipment usage and pedestrian safety.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Entry level experience, some warehouse experience wanted but not necessary.
• Able to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional and quality manner
• Ability to solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions
• Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and nontechnical terms.
• Creative thinker
• Collaborative and effective team player and able to work with teams who are globally dispersed
• Set a good example of personal integrity.
