Our mission is to enhance communication and wellbeing of children and adults through specialized evaluations and therapeutic supports and our psychologists, psychoeducational specialists, counselors, social workers, audiologists, and speech language pathologists work together to achieve this mission for our clients.

As a postdoctoral fellow in psychology you will receive supervision and training to enhance your expertise in assessment and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders, including specific learning disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and intellectual disability.

Major Responsibilities

  • Under supervision of a licensed psychologist, provide comprehensive neuropsychological, psychological and/or psychoeducational evaluations of clients with referral concerns related to learning, behavioral, emotional, and/or social difficulties
  • Under supervision of a licensed psychologist, provide written and oral feedback to clients regarding results of evaluations, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations for appropriate remediation of concerns including referrals and follow-up as required

Qualifications

  • Doctoral Degree in Psychology from APA-Accredited training program with specific training and experience in assessment of pediatric and adolescent neurodevelopmental disorders, including specific learning disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and intellectual disability.
  • Completion of an APA-accredited predoctoral internship. If internship was not APA-accredited, fellow must be determined eligible to complete post-doctoral supervision hours for licensure requirements as a psychologist by the SC LLR Board of Examiners in Psychology.
  • Acceptance of Preliminary Application for Licensure by the SC LLR Board of Psychology prior to start of Fellowship.
  • Work effectively as a team member.
  • Strong organizational, time management and planning skills.

Our financial support comes from service fees paid for services by individuals, insurance providers, Medicaid and other third party providers. Additionally, we receive support from grants, individuals and corporate donors to ensure our services remain accessible to those who cannot afford to pay full fees.

Full time team members receive paid time off (PTO) after their first 90 days of employment.
