Emily Rose Dance Creations is a newer dance studio in Newtown Square, PA, teaching primarily youth, but also adults! Our mission at Emily Rose Dance Creations is to provide students of all levels with more than just dance classes, but a unique environment in which students can grow both mentally and physically as dancers. Our motto is: Learn to dance while building confidence & discipline in a structured environment for youth & adults! Our studio is still in the growing phase, as we are only in our second year, and we need more experienced, well-trained instructors who are passionate about their craft and who are able to pass on that passion and training to our students ranging from ages 3-18 to join our team for next season (September 2023-early June 2024). If you have no prior dance teaching experience, this position is not for you, as, at this time, we need instructors who are confident enough to jump in right away and teach our kids.

We have girls and boys at our studio training in numerous styles, and we currently offer ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and contemporary for the kids. We are specifically looking for an excellent pointe teacher, who is able to teach a pointe class with two different skill levels of pointe students in it. Being a newer studio, we do not have many students on pointe yet so the limited amount we have is put into one class. Must have availability Monday evenings 8:30pm-9:30pm.

Remember, choreographing and teaching are two different things. Choreographing allows us artists to be creative and present our greatest work, but we must take the time to teach, work with, and train our dancers proper technique so they can get the most out of their craft, which requires patience, understanding, and sometimes changes in how we run class depending on the age group. Every age learns differently, so taking the time to make sure we are catering to the age group we are teaching is extremely important to us at Emily Rose Dance Creations. You must be able to send videos of choreography you have done to us prior to scheduling an interview, as creative, outside the box choreography is just as important to us as being an excellent dance teacher.

On a side note, you will need to have your own liability insurance for this position. We can provide recommendations for insurance, if you don't have it already.
