As a Per Diem, you pick up shifts at program locations based on your availability and the program needs. During the shift and under the direction of the Program Manager, Per Diems will provide direct supportive services to individuals that are experiencing a mental health crisis. Per Diem staff will work with guest on learning crisis coping skills, linking to resources in their community, working on Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and other supports as needed. Per Diem staff are required to maintain up to date trainings and must pick up shifts to stay active. Training will be provided prior to picking up shifts.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Wellness Respite This program provides an alternative to hospitalization for individuals with psychiatric disabilities who are in crisis. During their stay, guest will work on a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and be linked to services and resources within their community. Guest stay a max of 10 days.

• HS Diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelors in mental health related field is a plus.
• Valid drivers’ license and acceptable driving record is required.
• Excellent written, verbal and computer skills.
• Strong assessment and organizational skills. Ability to manage crisis.
• Must have good judgement and the ability to manage crisis in a positive and supportive manner.
• Strong computer skills or the ability to proficiently use various cloud based programs to track and enter daily notes is required.
• Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who have been trained to use their own life experience dealing with mental health or substance use challenges to inspire and support others.
• Must obtain their first dose of the primary series of a COVID-19 vaccination by their start date
