TheraPlay Spot is looking for an experienced Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to work at our pediatric out-patient clinic in Wichita, Kansas.

TheraPlay Spot is Hiring SLP's for Part-Time positions with the Opportunity to Increase to Full-Time.

We are also hiring Seasonal Summer staff to help bridge the summer learning gap while kids are out of school.

  • Part-Time: 20-30 hours/week, with the opportunity to grow to up to 40 hours/week
  • Flexible start and end times

  • Sensory-focused pediatric clinic
  • Located a 5-minute walk from beautiful Keeper of the Plains and downtown Wichita, Kansas
  • Forest themed waiting room
  • Therapists primarily have individual treatment rooms
  • Telehealth visits (as needed, from home or clinic)
  • Home, Community, Private School, Preschool, Daycare visits (optional)


Speech-Language Pathologist Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate children ages birth to 21 with a variety of diagnoses
  • Create a POC with achievable goals
  • Treat children with playful and highly beneficial sessions
  • Empower and coach parents for home carryover
  • Communicate openly and effectively with children, families and co-workers
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists
  • Perform routine reexamination as needed/required to modify/progress plan of treatment.
  • As necessary or applicable, supervise CFYs temporary licensees, students and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards
  • Attend regular staff meetings, presentations and in-services
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • If you have strong leadership skills and are looking for a Management opportunity, we are also looking for a Therapy Manager. This would be a blended role as a treating therapist (who could be OT, PT, or SLP) with a reduced caseload, combined with management and leadership duties with the therapy team. Management experience preferred, but will explore this option for the therapist ready for this next step in their career.

Pay: Depends on Experience, $28 to $37/hour


Job Requirements:

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Speech-Language Pathologist License in Kansas—or eligible, if you are relocating
  • Prior clinical pediatric SLP experience, preferably including language delays
  • Our ideal candidate is able to work independently with minimal to no supervision
  • SOS or AEIOU (or similar training) feeding experience preferred: picky eaters, food aversions, oral-motor delays, swallowing


Minimum Position Qualifications

Education: Masters in Speech & Language Pathology

Experience: One+ year pediatric out-patient experience preferred

License: Driver’s license, Kansas SLP license, Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC)

Other: Must pass prior employer check and criminal background check
