Telehealth SLPs

• Pros: greater control and flexibility of schedule; higher PPV rates
• Cons: care feels 'watered down' and less effective; difficulty to feel 'connected' to patinets; high depencence upon internet & technology

Home Health SLPs

• Pros: Flexibility & Control of the schedule; higher PPV rates; independence;
• Cons: driving to clients; living out of the car; minimal/no Admin support, cancelation rates; no PTO/minimal benefits; SLP isolation from colleagues

School SLPs

• Pros: Shorter work day; holidays off; longer breaks; paid time off; acces to office supplies
• Cons: Beurocracy; reduced pay; monotony; taking work home; rigid schedule; must provide own ST materials; Access to assesments is limited; the only SLP at the school/poor colleage collaboration

Acute Care & Rehab SLPs

• Pros: working as a 'team' with other disciplines; intellectually stimulating; medical benefits
• Cons: weekends & holidays; reduced hourly rates; rigid schedule

How Are We Different Than Other Outpatient Clinics?

2023 is the year for change. It's time to leave the COVID Pandemic & Public Health Emergency behind and start fresh. Our staff have given us many suggestions in the past 3 years and we've listened!

What does that look like at our clinic?

• Flexibility & Control of the schedule: Providers set their start & stop times, breaks and documenation, which days & locations they work
• Hybrid Service Delivery Model: Providers can choose clinic-based, telehealth, or hybrid combination to best meet their needs. Clinics are open all hours and available for providers any day of the week to schedule patients as needed. Providers can do Telehealth from home, away, or from the clinic.
• Assessments & Materials: All clinics provide office supplies, laptops, iPads, phones, AAC devices, standardized assessments, and treatment materials in all rooms for providers to access
• Compensation: PPV Rates are comparable & competitive with all other settings.
• Colleague Support: Work with other SLPs & Psychologists (we currently have 20 providers). Colaborate and get case management & consult. You are never the only Provider in the building.
• Opportunities to Specialize: Your caseload; your way! You can dictate which type of patients to put on your schedule. We have no shortage of assessment & treatment for Dyslexia & Literacy, AAC devices, Autism, IDD & Cognitive Delays, Minimally Verbal & Early Intervention, Motor Speech & Articulation, Langauge & Bilingual, Feeding
• Admin Support: Scheduling, make ups, attendance audits, faxing, emailing, calling, billing - Providers don't have time for Admin work. We have a large Admin Team of (10) to take the burdon.
• Consistency: There is no shortage of referrals, new patients, intakes, assesments, follow ups, or waitlisted patients!
• Work-Life balance: work as much or as little as you & your family/lifestyle needs. Most providers have caseloads/schdules of 30-50 vists per week booked.
