(TPA!) and Human Animal Support Services (HASS), have grown tremendously over the years, and have influenced animal welfare legislation, established animal sheltering best practices and reimagined human animal support services across the nation.
About The Position:
As a Parvo ICU Technician you are at the forefront of lifesaving. You will save puppies from all over Texas who are at risk of euthanasia. This fast-paced and chaotic job is the most rewarding and purpose-filled experience you will ever have.
- Calculate medication dosages
- Intake and discharge patients
- Administer medications orally, subcutaneously, and intravenously
- Place catheters and drawing blood
- Communicate verbally and in writing with volunteers, other programs, peers, and Managers
- Communicate with other shelters and rescues requesting our help
- SCHEDULE: Full-time is typically 4, 10 hour shifts and Part-time is typically 3, 10 hour shifts. Applicants must be available weekends and holidays. There is flexibility with the schedule if needed.

- Compensation: $16/hr. APA! is striving to maintain equitable pay, by conducting yearly analysis of market wages and cost of living increases. We are striving to increase starting wages to $17, in 2023.

- 6 months of animal-handling experience preferred but not required
