Part-time, Faculty - History Humanities (World Civilization)
Job description
Allan Hancock College is accepting applications for a part-time instructor to teach HIST/HUM 101 – World Civilizations to 1600 at the Lompoc Valley Center on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am - 12:10 pm for the summer 2023 term. Future classes may be taught at the Santa Maria campus or the Lompoc Valley Center, and could be a day or evening classes.

- Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
- Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
- Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
- Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.
- Teach all scheduled classes.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes.
Master's in history/humanities
OR
Bachelor’s in history
AND
Master’s in political science, humanities, geography,
area studies, women’s studies, social science or ethnic
studies
OR the equivalent
