Paraprofessional/Behavior Technician

We are currently in search of staff to meet the growing needs of children diagnosed with Autism.
As a behavior support technician, you will provide support to clients as they follow their treatment plans and ensure they receive the care they need to address their social, functional, communicative and behavioral concerns. We are looking for someone who can accurately observe and record behavior and remain calm in emotionally stressful situations.
Location: Halifax County, NC
Job site: Home, school, and/or community (current client will be served primarily in the school)
Schedule: Mon-Fri (dayshift)
Duties:
∙ Effectively implement treatment plans, developed by Licensed Qualified Mental Health Professionals, which may include skill acquisition and behavior reduction/support plans
∙ Provide care in a one-on-one and/or small group format
∙ Observe and record client’s behaviors and skill acquisition data for each session and monitor progress throughout the time of treatment
∙ Coordinate with team members and family members to ensure adequate care
∙ Be receptive to supervision, guidance, and recommendations for changes to the treatment plan
Qualifications:
∙ A high school diploma or GED certificate
∙ At least 6 months verifiable time treating clients with autism
∙ Do Not Have to Hold RBT Certification, but must have completed (or willing to complete) 40 hour training and competency assessment or equivalent (company will pay for training, with a bonus provided if training and assessment have already been completed)
∙ Physical ability necessary to help manage clients’ needs
∙ Great interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
∙ Pass a background check
∙ Demonstrate cultural sensitivity
Benefits:
∙ PTO accrual
∙ Sign on bonus of $500 after 60 days
∙ Quarterly bonuses, based on job performance
Compensation:
$16-19/hour dependent upon educational level
