This is a hybrid role and you will be required to go onsite to our Boston Corporate Office at 175 Berkeley St, Boston, MA 02116.
With that being said, only candidates local to Boston, MA will be considered.
Liberty Mutual Insurance has an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our team and provide legal support to attorneys and business professionals in various areas of the law, including contract review, such as non-disclosure agreements and hold harmless letters, marketing and training review and analysis. Conducts basic legal and factual research in a variety of areas including marketing, billing, claims, sales, underwriting, reinsurance etc.
Responsibilities:
  • Provides paralegal support within a shared service function serving multiple legal practice groups within Home Office Legal.
  • Reviews and analyzes legal contracts, leveraging technology.
  • Reviews and analyzes marketing or training material, leveraging pre-established guidelines.
  • Works in a collaborative team environment, leveraging technology solutions to efficiently provide legal services in a shared service function.
  • Must be able to thrive in a collaborative team setting with remote team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, in addition to 1+ years of working experience as a paralegal, legal secretary or a related role.
  • Paralegal certificate strongly preferred. Ability to perform basic legal research, writing and analysis.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with attorneys and clients.
  • Requires strong organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and to effectively prioritize work.
  • Must display effective use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and corporate and legal databases.
