Pay Range: $23.90/hr - $24.84/hr + $2.00 Shift Premium

Hours: 9:00pm – 6:45am (Overtime as production demands)

Essential Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:

• The specific job duties may change as this new process is further defined
• Expectation that this role will move to Line 4 when it becomes operational
• Proper set up of production equipment for running by locking out machinery
• Run Case Packer machine
• Physically packaging sausage on production line
• Lifting and moving boxes to pallets and moving pallets
• Stack pallets according to process procedures
• Do package and/or pallet weight checks
• Mechanical ability to troubleshoot production equipment
• Use SAP software to transfer materials
• Cross train/learn other positions on the production line
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
• Idea generation to improve processes to achieve superlative performance
• Learn, know and follow all Johnsonville safety protocols
• Prep all equipment for production and wipe condensation as needed
• Report any defective product to team leaders
• Report any defective machinery to team leaders and maintenance
• Carrying tubs of sausage
• Inspection of finished product
• Accurately complete paperwork

Experience

• 2 years manufacturing experience preferred

Skills and Competencies

• Take ownership for your own personal safety and the safety of all Members working around you
• Ability and openness to work in other production line/rooms within the facility when this specific line is not running production
• Must be able to obtain forklift and/or walkie rider license and keep a safe driving record
• Willing to work in a refrigerated environment (less than 40 degrees)
• Ability to document job responsibilities and be part of writing and maintaining DPS’s
• Maintain all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Must be able to work independently
• Necessity and ability to learn and share learning with others
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Strong math skills are required
• Basic computer skills needed
• Must have the ability to maintain a cooperative and positive attitude on the job
• Must be able to complete production, food safety and quality documentation paperwork accurately
• The ability to occasionally lift/move a pallet in excess of 50 pounds
• Ability to read and understand a production schedule
