Job Descriptions:
Our technician installs and troubleshoots servers, storage, VMWare, etc. The technician will provide technical support and demonstrate excellent customer service. The technician will travel to various locations to service customers, travel area is generally Midwest USA, and other locations may be added. The company will reimburse for expenses incurred.
Duties:
- Installs, configures, and modifies Windows and Linux servers, VMWare ESXi, HPE hardware, and storage. Dell Avamar appliances, MSA storage, and other systems onsite as needed.
- Uploads software packages, operating systems, network components, and other applications.
- Work will be flexible mix remote from home and office as of post-Covid
- Traveling to sites to perform hardware installations is a must when needed.
- Windows installation/configuration
- VMware installation/configuration
- Racking /cabling of new servers, switches
Requirements:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of networking and operating systems (Windows Servers)
- Experience in hardware and software installation
- Understanding of hardware and software components
Soft skills:
- Experience in working in an enterprise environment.
- Acting as a team player, but able to deliver as a sole contributor.
- Self-motivated, can-do attitude.
- Problem-solving, mission-oriented.
Optional r equirements will help you to advance your career:
- A Degree OR certificate in Information Technology (or similar)
- HPE / Dell Hardware certification
- 3+ years experience in application support
- Proficiency in Microsoft operation systems,
- HPE Server Hardware and working with switches, backup systems,
- Operational knowledge of network, VMware
- Must be legally eligible to work in the USA
- Direct hiring only
