This role is in the UPS Healthcare Italy division which operates in the pharmaceutical logistics and distribution market, shipping from Formello (Rome) and Liscate (Milano).

Are you ready to impacts the organization by analyzing and planning for operational success and customer satisfaction in a warehouse assigned?

In the role of Site Manager you will be asked to monitor volumes for respective clients and ensure client contract compliance for all site customers. You will develop operational goals and plans, monitor and communicates operations performance against plan, monitor margins, act as liaison with customers, set priorities, and coordinate with various functions to improve efficiency.

You will be responsible for organizing and structuring a team or department, managing operations to meet customer deadlines, developing and executing account plans, cross selling, providing customer service, participating in reviews and revisions of Statements of Work, reporting financial performance, monitoring system performance, coordinating special projects and resolving problems.

In this position you will also collaborate with the Country Controller to develop account level profit and loss statements and other financial reports and forecasts managing supervisors and hourly employees as well.

What you’ll do

  • Review Productivity Indicators: Developing operational plans to define and communicate new operating processes and compliance standards (e.g. returns, shipments, receipts, etc.);
  • Review Financial Expectations: reviewing monthly financial performance with the District Manager to develop financial plans and forecasts and verifying customer expectations by delegating and prioritizing workloads to ensure customer deadlines and contractual requirements are met;
  • Provide Performance and Systems Reporting: Managing the development of operation and account specific metrics to provide timely and accurate information on performance standards and the implementation of corrective action plans to address deficient performance areas from and improve productivity;
  • People Management: Managing resources and people processes (e.g., Performance Management, Career Development, Training, Staffing, etc.) to ensure the day to day administration of processes and formal procedures and identifying individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, conferences, projects, etc.) to facilitate individual and team development.
  • Budget Management: Managing financial resources required to meet goals
  • Supply Chain Management: Integrating a broad knowledge of supply chains within customer organizations to solve complex customer problems; developing strategies to meet the customer’s supply chain needs.

What you’ll need

  • Education: At least a bachelor or master, preferably in business or supply chain management;
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Logistic Industry, preferable in different roles;
  • Knowledge of Pharma Logistics with focus on GDP and GMP is a nice to have;
  • Thorough knowledge of international transportation warehousing, warehouse management Systems, inventory management and custom regulations;
  • Fluently speaking and writing English language;
  • Solid financial knowledge and understanding;
  • Management skills;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Flexible attitude
