Oil Tank Sales Representative

We are looking for a sales professional for our MA customer base, with the ability to meet in our Georgetown, MA office with the team. Townsend Energy is a Family Owned, dynamic propane, fuel oil, HVAC, and clean energy services company in MA, NH, and ME. Perhaps you are a technician, teacher, admissions, etc. in the HVAC field looking to use your experience to advise our customers on new equipment. We would love to train you!

The Oil Tank Sales Representative will work with existing and new customers to drive new profitable business, create business relationships both residential and commercial that build customer loyalty while increasing our customer base. This sales position requires a broad knowledge of Townsend Energy’s policies, products and/or services. Field experience with knowledge and experience to meet the oil tank installation code and removal guidelines, 1-2 years of sales experience will help you succeed in this role, and working closely with contractors during the installation period. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identifies sales leads and qualifies prospects
  • Make value-based sales presentations to prospective customers
  • Maintains key customer relationships
  • Builds and maintains customer files
  • Monitors the customer installation process
  • Ensures customer satisfaction and safety
  • Salesforce or CRM experience
  • Work with and foster relationships with the technicians to encourage leads and proper installations
  • Builds and maintains a pipeline of new prospects, closed business and installed business
  • Communicates new customer expectations and follow through on commitments
  • Flexibility to work the hours when customers are home to provide the ultimate customer experience.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or sufficient related work experience
  • Industry experience – HVAC Industry, Oil Tank Sales - preferred
  • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
  • Very Proficient with computer skills
  • SalesForce
  • 1-2 years sales experience – proven, successful sales metrics preferred
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication
  • Ability to pass background check, pre-employment drug test, and a clean driving record
  • Self-starter and team focused
  • Willingness to learn new career if transitioning from the field
