Schedule: Full Time, 8am-4:30pm


Responsibilities

Design, build, monitor and maintain all network servers that support medical faculty, clinical staff and administrative support in patient care, teaching and research activities. This position requires proficient and demonstrated technical and analytical skills for administration and maintenance of servers and the systems that reside on them.

This position is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting server infrastructure, including physical servers, virtual servers, virtualization technologies and infrastructure support tools. This individual is also expected to have a working knowledge of server(s) back-up and recovery procedures. A commitment to ensuring mission-critical systems are up and running is essential.

Essential Functions:
  • Handles requests for telephone repairs for the Hhspital and affiliated centers to keep customer satisfaction up to standard.
  • Helps maintain the telephone voicemail system by unlocking voicemail boxes and resetting passwords when requested.
  • Keeps all telecommunication lists updated and distributes appropriate lists on a routine basis, specifically the hospital in-house telephone directory and pager directory.
  • Installs, configures, maintains, supports and optimizes telephony and data network systems (i.e., switches and routers).
  • Coordinates and performs repair services in emergency situations as needed.
  • Orders and maintains all Grand View Health wireless (cell phone, iPads, etc.) devices.
  • Creates and maintains proper documentation on the WAN (i.e., circuit IDs) and network topology.
  • Provides support for installation of cabling (i.e., CAT5, fiber).
  • Supports various communication applications (i.e., Onpage, TigerText, etc.).
  • Keeps the Call Accounting System current by entering information into the database for new or changed extensions and generates telephone report requests for distribution.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED and 3 to 5 years of related experience required.
  • Associate's degree and 1 to 3 years of experience preferred.
