Infant/Toddler Teacher Assistant MSHS - GLCAP New Carlisle

Summary: Assist the infant/toddler teacher with the daily operations of the MSHS Head Start program in compliance with all policies, procedures, licensing, and funding requirements.

Education:

Required high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED). Prefer CDA or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field

Experience:

Up to one year experience in early childhood development and up to one year experience in word processing and internet software. Ability to read, write and speak Spanish is preferred.

• Initial and periodic physical exams required.

• Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Arrange, sanitize and store supplies, classroom and lunch equipment.
• Assist teacher with classroom activities and daily lesson plans.
• Provide a caring environment and address childcare needs.
• Maintain and ensure that food service areas, trays and dishes are cleaned daily.
