Working in WSECU’s CUSO, One Washington Financial: in this role you’ll provide management, leadership and support to the Loss Mitigation team; responsible for all loss mitigation functions within Mortgage Servicing. Your day may include:
- Managing Loss Mitigation staff to include hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, goals and performance evaluations
- Overseeing telephone queues, collection activities and loss mitigation notices on delinquent real estate loans to ensure they are handled in a timely and compliant manner
- Overseeing the functions for all loan workout options, bankrupt and deceased member loans, foreclosures and disposition of real estate owned
- Communicating directly with GSE’s and investors on charge offs, reporting and other loan-level issues
- Creation or updating of forms, policies, processes and job aides to ensure all written documents are accurate, compliant and consistent with current practices
- Providing reports and analytics on portfolio trending and loan performance
- Ensuring compliance with GSE and investor guidelines, federal and state regulations, CFPB, NCUA, and other applicable agencies
- Managing relationships with vendors, mortgage insurers, legal firms, and other parties related to loss mitigation activities
- Continually evaluating opportunities to improve productivity, process efficiency, and the member experience
What you bring to the team:
- Minimum of five (5) years of direct working experience in mortgage servicing, including three (3) years’ experience working with mortgage loss mitigation
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a mortgage-related supervisory role
- Experience with Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac servicing guidelines, as well as state and federal regulations governing mortgage loan servicing
- Must be, or able to be, licensed as a Loan Originator through NMLS
- Proficiency in analysis, problem solving and decision making
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with FICS, Temenos or Symitar software platforms
Competitive pay: $78,693.28 - $118,039.92 annually, dependent on applicable qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan
Where we’re located: 400 Union Ave SE Olympia, WA. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a hybrid position that blends working in-office and from home. Works onsite 2 occasions per week.
When you’d work: Monday through Friday, full time, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm daily for this exempt position, with scheduling flexibility required to meet the needs of the department
