Job Description:

The Manager Technology Supply Chain Management supports our Purpose by providing strategic sourcing, contracting, and negotiation support for Customer and commercial focused technology. This role builds and maintains strong relationships with the correct suppliers as well as utilizes tools to manage suppliers. The Manager Technology Supply Chain Management i s a strong communicator and strategic thinker who looks forward to driving the future of technology at Southwest.

Job Summary
Responsible for leading a team charged with oversight of strategic and/or operational functions within the Technology Team of the Supply Chain Management Department. Ensures low-cost, high-quality products and services are sourced and/or delivered on time across all Technology spend categories (hardware, software, Telecommunications & Professional Services). Sets and achieves aggressive targets for driving performance in Customer Service, Safety, cost, quality, and operational impact.

Responsibilities
Develop a competent, productive, knowledgeable, effective and Customer Service-oriented Team by: recruiting and hiring qualified applicants; providing training and orientation on departmental policies and procedures; assigning work responsibilities and priorities; Leading work activities and evaluating the performance of the Team
Work with Sr. Leadership across SWA to develop sourcing strategies in support of their business objectives
Help build strategic procurement capabilities through training with cross-functional Teams, and through training on new techniques
Advise technology and Stakeholders on common risk elements of a supplier agreement and/or program or project
Demonstrate an understanding of technology methodologies & concepts such as SAAS, Agile development, DevOps, etc.
Demonstrate an understanding of technology contract specific concerns such as IP ownership, SLAs, Cybersecurity, and data protection
Develop, monitor, and review policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal regulations and Company standards and policies
Develop expertise in advanced procurement methods, including, but not limited to: Strategic Sourcing, Transactional Efficiencies, Global Sourcing, Value Engineering, TCO, and Supplier Development within the Team
Demonstrate the highest level of ethics and integrity in all transactions
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of the Technology market, suppliers, and industry trends
Highly Skilled in considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
Skilled in working with Legal, Insurance, Tax and other relevant departments to ensure that their requirements are captured in contracts
Ability to develop and implement Team goals, conduct Team building activities, coach and mentor others, and provide timely and effective feedback on performance and career guidance
Ability to provide input for and assist with budget development and ensure effective utilization of fiscal resources
Ability to provide direction and guidance around day-to-day activities related to strategic sourcing, contract drafting, negotiation, sourcing and payment
Ability to track and analyze Team's performance by monitoring key productivity measurements
Ability to bring others together to reconcile differences
Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events)
Ability to shift back and forth between two or more activities or sources of information (such as speech, sounds, touch, or other sources)
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading Team(s)
Fully functioning, broad knowledge in Supply Chain, Finance, Technology or related field
Licensing/Certification

Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information
Ability to work extended work hours, as necessary
Pay & Benefits: Competitive market salary from $130,750.00 per year to $145,300.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience**. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company. Benefits you’ll love:
