Associate Executive Director
Location: Falls Church, VA
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

GENERAL DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Associate Executive Director (AED) will supports the Regional Executive Director for hospice and palliative care operations in her/his service area, with total accountability for successfully implementing, achieving, and sustaining the Capital Caring Health mission, strategic plan, and quality outcomes. The AED aids the Regional Executive Director with the oversight of all programs to ensure compliance and quality; maintains the professional and facility contracts for services; and manages budgets, facilitates meetings, and provides leadership, direction, and support to regional staff.
The AED also assists the Regional Executive Director with building relationships within the defined community to increase knowledge and access with all programs in order to advance our mission of providing the highest quality advanced illness care with dignity, respect, and compassion. The AED assures program integrity and compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations as well as CHAP standards and the organization’s policy and procedures. The AED leads by exuding the Capital Caring Health Core Values and inspires and motivates all staff to be “world class”.
Experience Requirements
The Associate Executive Director must have at least 5 years of healthcare experience, with 3 years of managerial/administrative experience required. A demonstrated track record of leadership, developing and maintaining relationships with service providers and community leaders is required.
Education Requirements
The Associate Executive Director must have at least a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Masters degree in healthcare administration, business administration or related field is preferred.
