Performs moderately complex clerical work. Work involves compiling and tabulating data; checking documents for accuracy; transporting documents; and maintaining files. Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative.

The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for maintaining all patient charts for the Home Health Division. Duties include, filing, scanning, verifying chart accuracy, breaking down charts, and various other clerical functions. This position also verifies time sheets based on nurses' notes and the scheduling system.


  • May have access to personal health information (“PHI”) necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department.


Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of business terminology, medical terminology, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Skill to prepare and maintain accurate records, files, and reports.
  • Skill to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.
  • Skill in the use of computers and related equipment is required.

This is an entry level position and a great opportunity! This position requires excellent attendance and ability to work overtime if required.
