Tender Care Medical Supply team members are devoted to developing relationships with our clients and their families and we want them to understand that our team will always take the time to listen and understand their individual medical supply & equipment needs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Performs manual or electronic submission of claims in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Follows up on outstanding claims to ensure accurate processing. Submits additional information and/or resubmits claims as needed.
  • Maintains accurate and complete records concerning all billing activity.
  • Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and insurance rules prior to claim submission. Confirms all necessary documentation has been obtained and is complete; works effectively with team members to secure needed items.
  • Track’s denials and billing errors and provides reports to management as requested/needed.
  • Maintains familiarity with the rules and regulations of Health First Colorado and other insurance companies.
  • Assumes other duties within scope of training as assigned.
  • Promotes teamwork among co-workers, including assisting fellow office workers, as needed.
  • Communicates problems and concerns with supervisor that may lead to inaccurate or untimely completion of reimbursement processing and/or client dissatisfaction.
  • Demonstrates timeliness, courtesy, sincerity and patience when dealing with clients, team members, and all other organizations.
  • Markets the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Environmental Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Must possess the ability to work in and move about in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.
  • Sitting in a seated position for extended periods of time.
  • Strength to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual ability to read materials in either a printed format or on a computer screen.
  • Stamina to maintain attention to detail despite frequent interruptions.

Required Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited high school or GED equivalency.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 1 year experience in HME/DME billing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
