Medical Assistant Job Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic full time experienced Medical Assistant to join our Division 14, Chesapeake ENT team. This opportunity will allow the employee to grow into new roles and responsibilities. The job is dynamic and challenging while allowing you to use your personality and people skills.

This position is in Rosedale 2-3 days a week and in another location the remaining days. This position requires travel between 2 locations at a minimum. Rosedale location is required, will also travel to Owings Mills, Columbia, or Westminster. The hours of work are varied Monday through Friday, but between business hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM in 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. No weekends.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Assist with procedures
• Order prescriptions through EHR
  
• Communicate with insurance companies for pre-authorization
• Escort and interview patients
• Administrative duties, such as answer phones and take messages
• Monitors and takes patient vitals

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

• Previous experience in a medical office
• Experience with obtaining pre-authorizations for procedures
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in multiple office locations (Owings Mills, Westminster, Rosedale, and/or Columbia). Travel is required.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred

Pay Range: $16-$20 per hour
