MIAMI GLOBAL OB/GYN - a growing OB/GYN independent office is hiring a full-time MEDICAL ASSISTANT. We are looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) medical assistant that must be able to work in our two office locations, Hialeah and Miami Beach.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Functions include, answering patients calls, preparing exam rooms, e-scribe prescriptions, performing documentation in the EHR, gathering information for the patient's visit, sterilization techniques, etc. Prepare and handle medical instruments before, during and after treatment. Patient follow-up, calling patient after procedures to check-in on treatment progress. Provide weekly update to doctor accounting for all tasks mentioned. Must have as well strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH.

REQUIREMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Greet patients, take them to exam room.

* Prepare the chart for doctor to review prior to treatment

* Scribes accompany the physician upon patient interview and examination.

* Scribes document the physician dictated patient history, including history of present illness, review of systems, past medical and surgical history, family and social histories, medications and allergies.

* Scribes document the correct time of patient care related activities, including physician to physician communication, family communication and re-examination of the patient.

* When the physician concludes the patient’s encounter, the physician will review all documentation completed by the Scribe, make any necessary amendments, and sign the chart.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Experience in an OB/GYN medical office setting is a plus. EHR experience with template exp. preferred, E-Clinical Works and Intergy knowledge is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills. The ability to interact professionally at all times with patients, physicians and team members. Must be able to type 50+ words per minute. Must be familiar with medical terminology.

Salary depending on Education and Experience.
