Designer 2 Furnace Mechanical

Claremont (Los Angeles County)

You will perform detailed 2D design drawings and 3D design models. You must have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. You must have knowledge of the applicable codes, standards and practices related to equipment as well as P&ID's, Piping, and Civil/Structural classifications. Microsoft Word and Excel training preferred. You must be familiar with related construction/fabrication techniques.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and check detailed drawings.
• Prepare detailed 3D equipment models and check 3D equipment models.
• Maintain and coordinate project files.
• Maintain communication with other project groups.
• Attend staff, client and vendor meetings as required.
• Implement quality programs.
• Engage in self-study efforts to maintain and expand technical proficiency.
• Travel as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or G.E.D required and Bachelor’s of Science (preferred) Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 4 years+ experience working as a designer/drafting in the Oil & Gas, Power, or related industry.
• 3 years experience using CAD programs (2D and 3D).
• Familiarity with Microstation, Smart Plant 3D, and Inventor preferred.

Range: $41.00HR – $34.00/HR.
