Summary

Responsible for managing and implementing material flow projects on the manufacturing floor as well as on warehouse. As part of the responsibility need to design strategy in conjunction with different departments to create optimize flow that goes in alignment with the lean methodologies. Responsible to work with designing packaging improvement opportunities for new parts as well as implementing new returnable packaging that allow us to achieve the sustainability’s goals for the plant.

Essential Functions:

• Create project plans, grant charts, PERT, WBS, among others.
• Coordinate weekly meetings with the team for the evaluation, status and/or actions of the projects.
• Coordinate events that helps and/or improve the achievement of projects implementation.
• Coordinate meetings with the safety, facilities and warehouse departments for the discussion of actions, resources and dates for the implementation of projects.
• Follow-up the execution of the project plan actions in order to assure the implementation compliance.
• Implement the layout/design and other actions after the events.
• Evaluate the warehouse packages from TK/XPO and the main line with EHS Department.
• Select/Evaluate packing pieces for changes and/or prepare information files.
• Maintain a direct communication with suppliers thru the evaluation of agreements, packing, among others.
• Coordinate informative meetings, presentations and project trainings for the development and implementation.
• Coordinate the materials team meetings, board staff meetings, project meetings and BBS meetings.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
• Maintain the work area clean and organized.
• Support lean initiatives (5s, RIE’s, SQDIP, MDI, 9 step).
• Comply with company policies and procedures, including EHS and ISO requirements.
• Create an implement JBS and JSA for new implementation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSIE, BSME, BSEE)
• Minimum 3 years of related experience.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish).
• Project management knowledge.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.
• Presentation skills.
• Planning and organization skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Problem solving skills
• Written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Good interpersonal skills
• Customer service oriented.
• Knowledgeable of ISO
• EIT and active member of CIAPR.
