· Work begins promptly at 7am and ending at 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. (Summer hours are from 6am-2:30pm to beat the heat!)

Summary

NWBS is searching for a Material Handler to undertake a variety of tasks relating to material handling and organization. The job will involve organizing, collecting, and line stocking of material for buildings. The Material Handler will report to the Purchasing Manager but will work closely with purchasing, receiving, Hyster drivers, plant managers, and foremen.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Will organize, pull, and distribute material to the appropriate line/department per designated route

· Perform daily cleaning of material storage areas per schedule

· Knowledge and training on products

· Will assist receiving to check in material, once received, will put away material in designated area

· Assist Forklift operators and Senior Material Handler stage material for production

· Perform weekly damage reports

· Quality check of materials

· Assist Receiver assessing and accounting for damaged material to request credit to vendor

· Perform will-calls off site on scheduled days

· Assist Senior Material Handler implement 5S and CI projects

· Prep material storage areas to receive more material

· Prep areas for specialty materials

Qualifications

· Some basic computer knowledge preferred but can be trained

· Ability to count, perform multiplication on the spot, and use calculators

· Forklift experience is preferred but can also be offered/trained

· Ability to lift 50 or more pounds consistently and 100 or more pounds on occasion.

· Can consistently reach above and below shoulder level.

· Can meet our daily schedule and possible overtime when necessary.

· Ability to climb ladders, use hoist and use man lifts to perform work duties.

· Attendance and dependability are upmost importance

· Ability to be put onto the company driving insurance and drive with a trailer

· Ability to read and understand measurements

· Ability to take direction, and work in a team with others.

· Ability to consistently be able to walk, bending, and lifting throughout shift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
