The AstraZeneca Newark Supply Site in Newark, DE, was established in 1971 and currently employs approximately 260 people. Over the course of these years, Newark has undergone many product portfolio changes since it first began as Stuart Pharmaceuticals through today as one of the main packager of oral solid dose products for the US market and a global Formulation site for select oral solid dose products. The Material Handler will support 2nd shift operations within the AS/RS Receiving Warehouse . This requires operation of a various forklifts types, automated pallet transfer machines, ASRS input machinery, conveyor systems, CPAL system, AGV storage a retrieval system and occasional manual moment of materials from wood to plastic pallets as required. You will also work with inventory and plant control systems and personnel to include; SAP Warehouse Management System, Finished Goods automated storage and retrieval system warehouse (MHS), along Warehouse System Analyst (WSA) personnel, Site Mechanics and Packaging Facilitators and operators.


What you will do:

  • Operate all forklift equipment in a safe, efficient manner to complete storage and retrieval activities.

  • Support receiving operations including Packaging, Formulation, Quality Assurance (QA), Engineering and various warehouse needs

  • Preform task independently and unsupervised while following proper gowning and safety protocols

  • Perform SAP inventory correction, movements, storage and distribution

  • May have to complete various material receipts to include inbound finished goods receipts, requiring completing the tally checklist, breaking loads down, verifying contents, and storage

  • Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy while supplying and supporting packaging lines with on-time materials, completing return reconciliation, random inventory verifications, and other inventory-related audits and duties.

Qualifications:
Essential:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Must pass Fork truck Vision tests, conducted by the Medical Department to allow for safe operation of a forklift vehicle; tests are performed every three years

  • Demonstrate understanding and use of LEAN Principles to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement

  • Demonstrate good math and problem-solving skills

  • Digital confidence

  • Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift ho

  • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently as required

Preferred:

  • Previous warehouse experience or knowledge of

  • Forklift operation experience

  • Knowledge of various cGMP’s and FDA regulations -Inventory control background.

  • SAP Warehouse Management System
