The NJ Division of Merola Tile employs approximately 130 people and distributes tile in the U.S. and Canada through The Home Depot, independently owned tile showrooms, and numerous e-commerce retailers under the Merola Tile, SomerTile, and Elite Tile brand names. Role and Responsibilities

  • Drive all digital content creation including content strategy, product photography and videography leading both creative as well as productivity of output
  • Execute company marketing and communication strategy. Have influence in overall marketing strategy.
  • Manage marketing team: ensure efficient workflow and team collaboration. Conduct employee one-to-ones, coaching, * training plans and *performance reviews to foster consistent and open communication and employee development. Develop and track key performance indicators for measuring departmental and individual employee performance
  • Collaborate on trade show planning, Retail Media assets and strategy, and visual merchandising efforts
  • Inspect and approve copy and layouts for all physical and digital marketing collateral. Ensure accuracy of product content and specifications.
  • Plan and prepare all digital marketing projects including but not limited to signage including POPs, labels, catalogs and collateral, product packaging, company culture assets, advertising, photo, video.
  • Competitive audit: maintain a pulse on what competitors are doing in the market and ensure our practices remain best-in-class
  • Oversee maintenance of in-house photo studio and the upkeep of equipment including cameras, lighting, sets and props. Collaborate with warehouse and sample departments to coordinate logistics of grouted board production and transportation of material between locations
  • Collaborate with other departments on projects and requests as needed
  • Maintain brand image through professionalism and consistency of design language and copy. Oversee customer Q&A/Product Review response efforts through BazaarVoice and/or retailer channel-specific portals. Ensure customer feedback is communicated to appropriate departments as necessary. Promote our company culture both internally and externally through production of our monthly newsletter, maintaining the break room slideshow, developing content for company events, and keeping the ADP web portal updated with company events and other pertinent information
  • Maintain critical relationships with vendors and other business contacts outside of the company. Solicit quotes for projects and/or materials from outside vendors as needed
  • Spearhead development of marketing solutions best suited for the company
  • Oversee maintenance of various brand websites to ensure content is regularly updated and participate in the planning and execution of website improvements

Physical Demands

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or an equivalent amount of education and experience
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Marketing field
  • Must have 5 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Experience in Retail/Wholesale multi-channel marketing highly recommended or a minimum single channel of ecommerce, catalog, stores.
  • Highly organized experience creating workflow calendars, shared google doc calendars.
  • Must have led a team of 4 or more
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Follow written procedures and verbal instructions
  • Must have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite & E-commerce
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized, while working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment, maintain a positive attitude under pressure
