Primary Responsibilities:

Join the manufacturing engineering team, supporting the development of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for aerospace applications. Address issues resolution in a team-working environment; develop solutions to effectively industrialize high-quality products; work to support the production of highly technical components, specifically designed with tight tolerances and specific special processes. Prepare, review, and maintain special tools drawings, enhance your knowledge of international standards and specifications; closely work with product development department to support new products design and costing.

Be ready to perform all these tasks containing costs, obtaining the highest quality standard, and investing the minimum time possible.

  • Manage designed components on our ERP software: creating and managing records, itemized lists, standard times, and costs, etc.

  • Manage routings for manufactured parts, directly communicating with all involved parties to have components compliant to drawings and relevant quality standards and procedures.

  • Design special tools to help operators during the entire manufacturing process (assembly, test, finishing, painting, surface treating, etc.).

  • Support shop floors during their day-by-day activities (tooling renewal, non-conformities management, old routings renewal, non-applicable standard times/costs, etc.).

  • Interfacing with product development department for costing activities when new products are going to be industrialized

  • Working with operators directly to write detailed instructions dedicated to different productions steps, so to have a continuous improvements of manufacturing procedures

  • Operate in a team environment with other functional areas, providing input to design solutions and attending design reviews

  • Manage modifications and improvements on legacy products, in accordance with internal procedures and configuration management manuals

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering

  • Background in design and development of mechanical components and systems

  • 2D/3D CAD modelling

  • Basic understanding of aerospace special processes, materials and treatments preferred

  • Intermediate use of Microsoft Office Package

  • Team player, demonstrating positive and collaborative attitude

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and strategize for better design solutions

  • Self-driven to continuous improve on processes and methods

Language:

  • Good Italian and English (written and oral)

  • 10% national/international
