Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift - Equipment and Facility – Toledo, OH
Job description
A & M Cheese is a processor and distributor of fine cheeses in the US, and is currently looking for the right individual to fill the role as a Maintenance Technician at our Toledo, OH facility and become part of our 1st shift team.
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance to all facility equipment.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Provide emergency diagnosis and repair of equipment.
- Orders and maintain adequate supply of parts in stock.
- Coordinates onsite visits with vendors and contractors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Requirements
- Experience in general equipment and facility maintenance and the mechanical aptitude to increase knowledge and skill of general maintenance.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Reliable and dependable.
- Ability to pass a background and pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to function in a multi-level environment, including climbing stairs, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting and pushing.
- Physical ability to lift on a regular basis without assistance and heavier items on an occasional basis with power equipment.
- Ability to operate an industrial truck and/or other related equipment.
- Ability to speak read and write English for effective communication and exhibit the ability to comprehend directions and report or convey information.
Work Schedule
- Ability to work 1st shift, Monday - Friday.
