Job Function: Maintenance, Inspection, Operation and Installation of Equipment for operation of Bar Soap production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the maintenance shift crew
- Respond to maintenance repair request from production or level 2 technician
- Create and implement process improvements and Poka yokes.
- Establish root cause of machine failure during maintenance repairs
- Establish plan to prevent repeat failure based on root cause
- Machine parts, fabricate, and weld as directed by the maintenance manager
- Exhibit leadership of maintenance crew during shift, facilitate communication, and shift turnover meetings
- Review and complete Work orders on a daily basis
- Help production to maintain quality standards
- Knowledge of repair costs; determine if repair is under warranty; evaluating service and parts options
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures to include investigation, recommendation and follow-up of safety related issues in the workplace.
- Equipment PM, Trouble Shooting, Repair, and Installation.
- Assist in the coordination and scheduling of maintenance activities related to equipment repair and installation.
- Completes, Manages, and coordinates special projects as assigned by the Maintenance Manager

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High School Education, Vocational and or Trade school
- +5 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
- Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting ability
- Capable of functioning with little to no supervision.
- Experience in industrial mechanical, electrical, welding, fabrication,
- Knowledge of Packaging Equipment, Mills, and Extruders.
- Experience using AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Capable of providing overall guidance and leadership in addition to on-going direct supervision.
- Capable of exercising considerable judgment on complex situations related to the machinery and process.
- Able to communicate effectively. Capable of negotiating and resolving conflicts when they arise.
- Proven experience in PLC and Drives
- General knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Capable of physical effort. Will frequently spend significant number of hours in shop floor environment.
- Proven experience in software Microsoft office
- Capable of utilizing normal office equipment including personal computer equipment.
- General knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Capable of extended hour commitment and on-call at all times.
- Capable of completing full setup (Press through Packaging) of every machine.
