Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re a Machine Repair Technician, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Machine Repair Tech is responsible for the maintenance and repair of hydraulic, mechanical & instrumentation systems, including machine centers, by applying knowledge of mechanical technologies and principles.

What you will be doing

  • Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools, such as engine lathes, milling, drilling, grinding, polishing, buffing, and CNC machining centers. Assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for equipment such as production machinery, production or development test equipment and support systems
  • Fits and assembles parts to fabricate or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. Diagnoses and corrects minor malfunctions in production machinery and test equipment
  • Tests faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronic and mechanical units and systems to diagnose cause of malfunction. Performs routine preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and documents completion of these tasks in an electronic database
  • Tests electronic and electrical components and circuits to locate defects, using oscilloscopes, signal generators, ammeters, and voltmeters. Participates in installation of equipment in test fixtures, connecting valves, pumps, hydraulic, mechanical controls, and instrumentation
  • Replaces defective components and wiring and adjusts mechanical parts, using hand tools and power tools. Aligns, adjusts dimensions and tolerances, trouble shoots mechanical, electrical, and electronic malfunctions, using blueprints, schematics and precision-measuring instruments according to manufacturer specifications. Documents mechanical or electrical problems and escalates concerns to higher level technicians

What We Are Looking For

  • High School diploma, GED or international equivalent required
  • Level 1 – 1+ year of industrial, mechanical or electrical manufacturing experience required
  • Level 2 – 5+ years of industrial, mechanical or electrical manufacturing experience required or 3 years machine repair experience required
  • Level 3 – 7+ years of machine repair experience
