Hyundai & Genesis of Greer are looking for a Express Lube Technician to add to our team! At Hyundai of Greer, we offer a team environment and ongoing training and support for our associates. Previous experience with a Hyundai/Genesis dealership or service department a plus, but not required. First Shift - 7am - 4pm

Brand-New State of the Art Facility!

Responsibilities:

• Perform multi-point inspections
• Advises service consultant of additional work
• Inspect fluid levels of steering gear, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential, rear axle housings, and shackles
• Check air pressure of tires
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
• Replace oil and air filters
• Balance and rotate tires
• Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs needed
• Follow company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt and harsh chemicals
• Providing excellent customer service keeping in mind that our customer’s perspective comes first
• Presents a friendly, professional greeting to customers and helps identify, confirm and offer a resolution to customer concerns
• Isolate components that might cause future problems on vehicles
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy while performing maintenance on vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks
• Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the company's vision, mission and values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards

Qualifications:

• Communicates effectively with others
• Manages one’s own time and time of others efficiently
• Basic computer skills
• Oil changing and quick lube experience a plus but not required
• General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations
• Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
• Personal and professional integrity
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Should be able to operate basic electronic testing equipment
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Positive, friendly attitude
• A high level of energy and strong motivation to learn and succeed
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver license and clean driving record
